September 27, 2016
Yes, Picton Karting tack is an outdoor circuit and karting will not be cancelled if there is wet weather. Groups that book on the 18HP will be changed to the 13hp karts if rain occurs and the track surface is wet. 23HP Karts will not be run in wet weather or if track surface is wet.
Karting in the rain or on a wet track is not dangerous and is a great and fun experience. So please ensure that you make allowances for wet weather by bringing a change of clothes and wearing appropriate attire.
However, if the weather conditions are deemed to be dangerous, karting events will be stopped till the track supervisor finds it safe enough to return to the track. In extreme weather the track may be closed. We will not operate during dangerous or inclement weather conditions. No refunds will be given on the basis of wet weather, and cancellations or transfers of bookings cannot be requested on the basis of wet weather.
In the event that your karting event is postponed or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions which would make it dangerous or unsafe to kart, you will be contacted. Should karting need to be cancelled then your deposit will be transferred to your rescheduled date.
