Yes, Picton Karting Track operates on public holidays however it is still best to give us a call on 02 4677 3330 to get updated operating hours and availability.
Yes, our track is open for private practice weekdays only – Monday to Friday (except Tuesdays) from 10am to 5pm (NOT including public & school holidays).

Our Track caters for beginners through to experienced drivers and riders wanting to acquire experience and refine their skills. Break in an engine, test & tune for race events or for a fun day out. Please note: Rental Karts will always take precedence. Sessions will rotate during the day
Yes, you can use your own helmet as long as your helmet is a full faced helmet and is in good tack/condition without damage and has the Approved Australian Standards sticker. Motocross Helmets are allowed providing you use eye protection. Strictly NO open face helmets without chin protection.

No, you cannot kart with your child unless they are 14 years or older. No track in NSW should be mixing adults and kids karts under the licence agreement with Sports and recreation.

No. Picton Karting Track has a strict no alcohol and drug policy. Participants that consume alcohol or drugs during/before karting will not be able to go kart.
Yes, you can use a Go Pro as long as it is mounted to your own personal helmet
Yes, Picton Karting tack is an outdoor circuit and karting will not be cancelled if there is wet weather. Groups that book on the 15HP will be changed to the 9hp karts if rain occurs and the track surface is wet. 23HP Karts will not be run in wet weather or if track surface is wet.
Karting in the rain or on a wet track is not dangerous and is a great and fun experience. So please ensure that you make allowances for wet weather by bringing a change of clothes and wearing appropriate attire.
However, if the weather conditions are deemed to be dangerous, karting events will be stopped till the track supervisor finds it safe enough to return to the track. In extreme weather the track may be closed. We will not operate during dangerous or inclement weather conditions. No refunds will be given on the basis of wet weather, and cancellations or transfers of bookings cannot be requested on the basis of wet weather.
In the event that your karting event is postponed or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions which would make it dangerous or unsafe to kart, you will be contacted. Should karting need to be cancelled then your deposit will be transferred to your rescheduled date.
Government issued photo ID must be presented by all drivers over 18, anyone under 18 must have a guardian present with a valid form of photo ID. If no valid photo ID is presented then you will not be permitted to drive.
Yes you do. Picton Karting Track Driver’s Licence fee is $10 includes a balaclava and the membership is valid for 12 months.
Yes, we offer hot & cold drinks, pies & sausage rolls, ice creams and an assortment of confectionery.
There is no fee for spectators.
We use different flags and lights with different meanings:
- Green Light– Track clear
- Yellow Flag or Light– Extreme caution, slow down, no overtaking
- Red Flag or Light – Session completed

To purchase an instant gift voucher, go on to our live booking system, to select the Karting event you wish to gift, then press the book now tab, scroll down to buy gift card tab, and follow the prompts. Or you can purchase a gift voucher by coming to our track.
All arrive and drive session run for 10-minute blocks. In between session there will be a 10–30-minute break
As many as you wish, there is no need to have a group, you can just come along yourself.
Picton Karting Track is an Outdoor circuit.
To qualify to drive our RMAX Karts you need to do 2 x 10 Minutes session on our 15Hp Karts first to show your driving techniques and that you can handle the speed with skill & caution
- Helmets are supplied for hire kart clients at no extra cost.
- For hygiene purposes hair nets are available or you can purchase a balaclava at a cost of $5.
- Balaclavas are included in the $10 Membership fee
- Gloves are optional if you wish to gain a better grip on steering at an extra cost starting from $20
- Rib protectors and gloves will be supplied to clients driving RMAX karts at no extra cost
JUNIOR KART DRIVERS MUST BE 7 TO 13 YEARS OF AGE. MUST BE OVER 1 METER TALL.
9HP ADULT KART DRIVERS MUST BE 14 YEARS OF AGE AND OVER. MUST BE OVER 1.4 METERS TALL. WEIGHT LIMIT 130KG
15HP & 23HP ADULT KART DRIVERS MUST BE 17 YEARS OF AGE AND OVER. MUST BE OVER 1.4 METERS TALL. WEIGHT LIMIT 130KG
- Comfortable enclosed flat shoes/boots must be worn by all drivers (no thongs, no sandals or high heels will be permitted)
- When go karting all long hair is to be tied back securely.
- Comfortable casual clothing is advisable, no scarfs or lose clothing to be worn while go karting.
- Helmets are supplied for hire kart clients at no extra cost.
- For hygiene purposes hair nets are also supplied and are compulsory or balaclavas are complimentary with a membership.
- Gloves are available for $20 if you wish to gain a better grip on steering.
Picton Karting track operates 6 days a week. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 10am to 5pm. Saturday from 9am to 6:30pm. It is highly recommended that you contact us prior to coming for track availability
Tuesdays we are closed for maintenance.

Picton Karting Track requires you to arrive 1 hour prior to the scheduled booking time so you have enough time to complete registration and a safety briefing so you can start at your scheduled time. Failure to arrive on time may result in loss of track time
On Arrival you will need to register on our iPads then from there you will need to go to the front counter to complete your transaction.
From there you will need to wait outside until you are called in to view our Safety Briefing and Drivers Instructions and next you have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have and then you will be equipped with helmet & balaclava and you are now ready to jump into your go kart to start your karting session on our Outdoor circuit.

Picton Karting Track is an outdoor circuit that caters for hire kart clients as well as for clients that have their own karts that leisurely practice at their own speeds. The track is an AKA (Australia Karting Association) approved race track. Our track is inspected daily ensuring the surface, gravel traps, curbs and facility is up to the optimal level of standard. Our track is fast, challenging and requires commitment and stamina. At 640 metres long by 8 metres wide with 190 metres straight, 9 corners and a hair pin. This circuit has a selection of fast, slow and technical corners. Our track surface is provided by Boral, made up of their finest mix of asphalt.
