Our aim is to please, your satisfaction is our reward!
Picton Karting Track was setup to make motor sport accessible – to everyone. We firmly believe in the huge power of motor sport to thrill and inspire. We are inclusive of all abilities and backgrounds, whether you’re
a professional karter, leisure karter or rental karter. We also thoroughly believe that motor sport is the most engaging sport available. It is something special that inspires and engages those who have had the chance to participate and it often rubs off in so many areas.
We believe that…
It was back in the late 1990’s that Picton Karting Track founders, brothers Anthony and Renzo sparked an interest in go-karting. After working in the joinery trade in Wollongong for two decades, they decided it was time for a career change. The brothers relocated to Wollondilly Shire and came up with the idea to open a karting track after discovering the need for a modernised, recreational centre in the South-West of Sydney, that would be fun and affordable for a range of ages.
From humble beginnings, a scale model of the track was designed, the purchase of the land and then, the designing and construction of the track. With little experience, the majority of the work was by the two hardworking brothers who overcame the challenges in the process, possessing passion, sweat, blood and tears, ‘posseduto la passione e sudore , lacrime e sangue’.
Finally the dream became a reality in January 2000, Picton Karting Track was officially opened to the public. Since opening, Picton Karting Track has continued to improve the customer experience by upgrading the go-karts, enhancing driver safety and developing innovative ideas as additions to the track. Over the last two decades, the track has attracted many locals, interstate and overseas customers, as well as businesses, schools, universities, driver training schools, kart clubs, car clubs and motor cycle training.
Awesome for our Learner Driver nephew
Our 16 year old nephew and his friend went karting around the track. It was great idea for him to gain confidence as a new Learner driver and learn to steer. Had lots of fun with his friend Jake, both of them loved it. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and reasonably priced.
Family Race day – Twice
During our week at Wollongong we went go karting twice. The first time was so much fun. With fantastic staff, excellent karts, and a really challenging track, we all had such a great time we went again 5 days later. Same again, great facilities, and staff, and again our 14 year old daughter beat us all. Go there, do it, you will love it.
I’m glad I went karting
I recently visited the Go Kart Track with my family and some friends, not wanting to do karting, I just wanted to sit down and watch. However I was glad that I was persuaded to kart it was so much fun and stimulating. I thought being as young as 59, karting was only for the boys…. hahaha certainly I have changed my opinion. We will return again.
