Yes you can use your own helmet as long as your helmet is full faced and in good tack/condition without damage and has the Approved Australian Standards sticker. Motocross Helmets are allowed providing you use eye protection. Strictly NO open face helmets without chin protection.

Yes you can at no charge all we ask is that you please share some images with us on our Facebook page.

No. Picton Karting Track has a strict no alcohol and drug policy. Participants that consume alcohol or drugs during/before karting will not be able to go kart.

No you cannot use your personal Go Pro, however we hire out Go Pros at a cost of $25 per person/per 15 minutes with an uploaded file given to you on a USB stick.

Yes. In-between sessions, you are more than welcome to purchase refreshments. If groups wish to include catering/function room hire, to please inform our booking team upon placing your booking.

Yes, however if the weather conditions is deemed to be dangerous, karting events will be stopped till the track supervisor finds it safe enough to return to the track. In extreme weather the track may be closed. We will not operate during dangerous or inclement weather conditions. No refunds will be given on the basis of wet weather, and cancellations or transfers of bookings cannot be requested on the basis of wet weather. Picton Karting Track operates in wet weather to please ensure that you make allowances for wet weather by bringing a change of clothes.

In the event that your karting event is postponed or cancelled due to extreme weather conditions which would make it dangerous or unsafe to kart, you will be contacted. Should karting need to be cancelled then your deposit will be transferred to your rescheduled date.

Yes you need to show a photo I.D.

To purchase an instant gift voucher to go on our live booking system, to select the Karting event you wish to gift, then press the book now tab, scroll down to buy gift card tab, and follow the prompts. Or you can purchase a gift voucher by calling us on 024677 3330 or if you prefer to deal personally simply call in to the Track.

Duration time for a 30 minute session, we recommend you allow 1 hour to complete from start to finish.

Up to 22 go karts can be on the track at the same time.

As many as you wish, there is no need to have a group, you can just come along yourself.

Yes we have qualified First Aid staff available to assist if an incident were to occur.

Picton Karting Track is an Outdoor circuit.

Yes, Driver Agreement forms are to be filled out by all participants before karting and please note under 18’s will need a guardian consent.

  • Comfortable enclosed flat shoes/boots to be worn by all drivers (no thongs, no sandals or high heels)
  • When go karting all long hair is to be tied back securely.
  • No scarfs or lose clothing to be worn while go karting.
  • Helmets and racesuits are supplied for hire kart clients at no extra cost; if you wish not to wear a racesuit, casual clothing and bring along a long sleeve jumper will be satisfactory to protect your arms.
  • For hygiene purposes hair nets are also supplied and are compulsory.
  • Optional Gloves if you wish to gain a better grip on steering.

Picton Karting Track opens from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Monday throughout the year except for Tuesdays. Please call 02 4677 3330 and check for alterations in operating hours during public holidays.

Picton Karting Track requires a 10 to 15 minutes arrival time prior to the scheduled booking time.

The fleet of 25 go karts are purpose built with the European ‘’Intrepid’ chassis and powered by the Subaru 4 stroke engine which can accelerate at speeds up to 70 km p/h. The karts are also fitted with an individual timing transponder which times the karts to an incredible 1/1000th of a second so you are able to time yourself and improve your time on the next round.

The Picton Karting Track is an outdoor circuit that caters for the go hire kart clients as well as for the karters that have their own kart that leisurely practice at their own speeds. The track is an AKA approved race track and is the home for the Wollongong Kart Racing Club which holds seven race meets in a calendar year and to many other race club meets.

Picton Karting Track is located 5 k/ms from the Picton Exit F5 Freeway at 200 Picton Road, Picton.
